About this Project
Competitive Bid – Removal of existing North Grandstand wooden seating and support structure, replaced with new aluminum Grandstand seating, structural concrete, and concrete stairs. The existing Grandstand structure was not equipped with a fire sprinkler system, and our scope included installing a new fire line with riser for a dry fire sprinkler system. The sprinkler system was run throughout the existing North and South Halls, Concessions under the bleachers and in the area of the bleachers themselves. The new design for bleachers required modifications to the existing concessions removing the ceiling/roof and wall constructed with new. In addition, the North Hall was renovated with new doors, polished concrete floors, paint and ceilings.
Construction commenced and completed within the parameters of the original solicitation. Bleacher contractor selected by owner prior to IFB experienced challenges with install crew and project schedule was impacted. Project Manager advised all subcontractors of schedule impact was able to adapt to maintain completion date.
