About this Project
Competitive Bid – Renovation of lower level in CMC’s Summit Student Commons (occupied). Work included complete demolition of existing finishes and interior partitions for CMC’s new Nursing Simulation Lab.
The new Nursing Sims Lab included traditional classrooms, and a total of fourteen (14) practice labs. Each (14) labs are equipped with medical equipment, headwalls, and medical grade air for student education. Six (6) of the labs were private with adjoining observation rooms (one way glazing). In each of the private labs casework with single compartment sinks were installed. The remaining eight (8) labs are open room training platform with ceiling track curtains.
Work included remodel to existing restrooms, and modifications to fire sprinkler, plumbing, mechanical, electrical (Crestron controls lead time item) and fire alarm to accommodate the new floor plan. Interior finishes were upgraded in adjoining spaces to the area of work with flooring, and paint.
Our team at Ford Construction has completed projects for CMC at their Spring Valley Campus each year since 2019, including remodeling three floors of their Sopris Student Dorms.
